I hope to meet you at a future pen show.
Best Regards,
CharlieAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12801598631099645610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004864211548144059.post-57337541781455969662013-01-07T08:37:42.356-08:002013-01-07T08:37:42.356-08:00Hi Mike,

I followed the links and found your page. Thank you for posting your very thorough notes! This is a subject very near and dear to my own heart. I'll be doing the calligraphy workshops and will also be working with Susan Wirth at the show (so unfortunately, will not be able to attend your workshop). Please introduce yourself. I'll look forward to meeting you. Seems like friends, family and I have lost the ability to take time to write and share the intimacy of our thoughts and dreams.

As part of trying to revive my letter writing I came across your lecture and I must say it reflects my thoughts and hopes for resurrecting my writing ability.

I have found that cursive writing is no longer being taught in school, which I believe will handicap my grandchildren in their mental development and ability to communicate. I am trying to do my part to see that it doesn't die, at least in my family.

Bravo for your efforts and please don't be discouraged. Your lectures are like a small seeds, they may not germinate immediately, but will bear fruit.

Thank you for the lecture, and hopefully I will see you at the Philadelphia Pen show.

Warmest regards,

JimAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004864211548144059.post-20437480184761439052012-12-12T20:30:56.013-08:002012-12-12T20:30:56.013-08:00Rachel,

I have been somewhat saddened by the lack of interest but will be doing another seminar in Los Angeles in February. Please forgive my very tired memory, but did we meet in DC?

I shall hopefully post more.

Actually, I am doing my best to start a project that is like a more intense version of Griffin and Sabine with letters. Shall I keep you posted?

Thank you again for your praise of what I did. I honestly felt like an absolute failure as I drove back home to Jersey later that day.

With deepest Gratitude,
Michael
Mike Kovacshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03971366499672261428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004864211548144059.post-9043254990234223062012-12-12T11:05:47.054-08:002012-12-12T11:05:47.054-08:00How are there no comments on this post?
Thank you...How are there no comments on this post?
Thank you so so much for this lecture {even though I am reading it online-irony again!}. I love your thoughts, challenges and information.
Truly, the art of letter writing is something that every person should experience, either through receiving a card or writing one.
Thank you, Thank you!
